See below for answers to the questions that we hear the most:

1. What ages are accepted for treatment at NPH?

NPH accepts patients that are 18 years of age and older for treatment.

2. What should I pack for treatment at an NPH hospital?

Casual clothing is all you will need while our hospital provides the toiletries, such as toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, conditioner and a razor, if needed. Please bring only 2-3 changes of clothing as we provide laundry services. If you arrive to our hospital with more than the allotted clothing, we will safely store the additional items or send them back to your home upon arrival. Additional clothing or accessories should not be brought into the hospital.

3. What items are not allowed by patients or visitors?

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Alcohol-based products (mouthwash, perfume, aftershave/cologne)
  • No tobacco products or medications, including OTC
  • Flammable substances (lighter fluid, lighters, matches, paint thinner, flints)
  • Unidentified substances (vials, powders, pills, liquids)
  • Sharp objects (scissors, nail clippers, knives, needles/pins, razor blades, awl, ice picks, exacto-blade, hat pins, pencils/pens, make-up sharpeners)
  • Metal cans or lids, personal defense chemicals
  • Illegal substances (street and/or prescription drugs)
  • Electronics of any kind (cell phones, tablets)
